Tischendorf Racing Announces 2022 Partners, Schedule Plans

Tyler Tischendorf is entering his 4th year of Winged 360 Sprint Car racing, and the youngster from Waupaca, WI has big plans for 2022.

“We’re really branching out this season, and I couldn’t be more excited!” Tischendorf said. “We have some amazing partners on board the 26 for 2022 and it’s allowing us to plan for a more diverse schedule.”

One of the many changes to the Tischendorf Racing sprint car in 2022 is the reversion of the 26T, back to the original 26 that both Tyler and his father Tim Tischendorf have always raced.

“We’ve always been the number 26.” Tyler said. “When we came into the MSA back in 2019, Al Schlafer had the 26 taken, so we added the ‘T’ on the end for scoring purposes. With Al largely moving on from racing in the 360’s, we thought it was time to go back to the 26.”

Another massive change is the overall look of the car. Going from a black base paint to white, and a radical new design courtesy of Scott King of Scott King Designs.

“Scott did an amazing job with our 2022 car.” Tischendorf said. “He sat down with us in iRacing (motorsports simulation) and we had the chance to actually watch him design the car from the ground up. It was very cool to see, and I think it turned out great. We can’t wait for everyone to see it on track!”

Tischendorf Racing is welcoming back most of their 2021 partners, with more possibly on the way.

“I’d like to thank our returning partners for 2022.” Tyler said. “We had our best year by far in 2021 and that was largely because of the support we had behind us.”

The 26 will welcome back Primary Partners Happy Camper Boat & RV Storage, Green Bay Blizzard Football, and John & Michelle Stenz. As well as Associate Partners Johnson’s Auto Body, Valley Truck Leasing LLC, Golke Brothers Roofing and Public Relations provider Box3 Media.

“We’re also fortunate to welcome back some amazing product sponsors this year.” Tischendorf said. “The car was really fast last year and we’re hoping for more of the same this season with the support we have from these great companies.”

Tischendorf Racing will run with support from engine builder Buege High Performance, Berryman Racing Shocks/Factory Kahne, and Triple X Chassis.

The Waupaca, WI based team will also welcome numerous new partners to the 26 in 2022.

“I’m so excited for all the new partners coming on board in 2022.” Tyler said. “We’re proud to have each one on the car and they’re a huge part of why we’re able to branch out a little more this year. These three companies are synonymous with racing and racing in the upper Midwest especially, and we couldn’t be happier to work with them moving forward!”

Tischendorf Racing will welcome Associate Partners Professional Plating Inc., Cow Pies and MyRacePass in 2022.

Professional Plating has supported numerous Sprint Car teams in Wisconsin, including contenders like Brandon McMullen, Travis Arenz, Ozzie Motorsports and Scotty Thiel, Bob Hood Motorsports, Ruh Racing, Miller Family Motorsports and more.

Cow Pies has been a supporter of Torque Racing and Josh Walter for years, as well as Dylan Cisney in 2021, and Tischendorf Racing is proud to carry their logo in 2022.

MyRacePass is a household name in the world of short track racing, with their live timing and scoring services and app being top of the line and a huge asset to numerous series and tracks. MRP also assisted Tischendorf Racing with building a professional website and driver profile this off-season and is a welcome addition to the 26 in 2022.

Tischendorf will also bring on Outlaw Wings as a Product Partner in 2022.
"Outlaw makes some great wings." Tyler said. "We already had them delivered to the shop and the quality is top notch. We can't wait to get them to pre-season testing."

“As for our 2022 schedule plans, we’ll be running a few different tracks than we’re used to and with some new series as well.” Tischendorf said. “We still plan to run the full MSA slate of races, but with some extra shows thrown in.”

While the Wisconsin racing scene waits for the full MSA schedule to be announced, Tischendorf Racing has planned for 5-6 “outside shows” for the 2022 season. These are subject to change depending on the MSA Schedule release, along with the possibility of added Sprint Invaders shows pending their full schedule release as well.

April 9th: 34 Raceway, West Burlington, IA with Sprint Invaders 360’s
May 29th: 141 Speedway, Maribel, WI with IRA 410’s
September 4th: 141 Speedway, Maribel, WI with IRA 410’s
September 10th: Cedar Lake Speedway, New Richmond, WI with Midwest Power Series 360’s
September 30th-October 1st (TBA DATE): Beaver Dam Raceway, Beaver Dam, WI with MSA (non-points for Wingless Nationals)

“We had a great time running with the IRA at 141 last year and with MPS at Cedar Lake.” Tyler said. “It was great to see how we measure up with another level of competition, and I can’t wait until we head to a brand-new track at 34 Raceway to test ourselves against the Sprint Invaders series. We hope to add more outside shows if the MSA schedule permits, but our focus will be on the MSA points series and doing our best there. We came really close to our first 360 win last year and our number one goal is to finally tick that box in 2022. Another goal for us is consistency. We had a couple good stretches last year but that was easily our biggest issue. We hope to be Top 10 regulars and make the Top 5 at least five times if not more. The MSA is so competitive that it’s tough to even make the show some nights. We’re hoping that isn’t an issue for us this year.”

Tischendorf Racing will contest between 30-40 races in 2022, easily their heaviest schedule yet, but Tyler says the Family run team will be up to the task.

“With the partners we have this year, and the great crew of my dad Tim and my mom Julie, Mikey Thill, Steve and Olivia Petrovs, Loren Kelly, and Mike Greiner, I’m confident we’ll be ready to take it on and accomplish our goals.” He said. “We’re ready for it.”
