*Mother Nature Forces Cancellation of Saturday Nights Events at 34 Raceway*

by Brian Neal
*West Burlington, IA* (Saturday, June 17, 2017) – After hosting Tony
Stewart’s Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions 410 Sprint Car special
last Sunday, June 11th, 34 Raceway returned to it’s Saturday night weekly
racing. It was Mountain Dew $5 Fan Appreciation Night on Saturday, June
17th, will only $5 for adults, seniors and students to get into the
grandstands.

Just after the gates opened, the skies started to darken. But that storm
would move to the north of the track, and the skies started to clear up
again. Then hot laps took to the track at 6:30 PM, and once again the skied
started to darken. This time mother nature opened up the skies and dumped
some heavy rains onto the grounds. This would force track officials to have
to call the nights action.

Pit pass wristbands will be good for next Saturday, June 24th events, as
well as grandstand tickets. If you are not able to make it back next week
and have purchased a grandstand ticket, those can be used at any event for
the remainder of the season. But are only good for the face value of $5.
Any free ticket used Saturday must be used on June 24th and are NOT good
for any other night, NOR do they have any value.

Coming up next week, Saturday, June 24th, will be the rescheduled Mountain
Dew $5 Fan Appreciation Night, plus Mid-Season Championships. The WT
Gabeline & Sons Trucking 305 Sprints, Victory Lane Suspensions IMCA
Modifieds, Pepsi IMCA Stock Cars, Casebine Credit Union IMCA SportMods,
IMRA Midgets, and Sunny’s Market 4-Cylinders will all be in action. With a
draw / redraw format being used for all classes.

Pit gates will open at 4:30 PM, the grandstands at 5 PM, hot laps at 6:30
PM, and racing at 7 PM. Grandstand admission will be $5 for adults, seniors
(60+) and students, with kids 10 & under FREE! Pit passes will be $25.
